''SINHALA'' is a Great Language......✍
All Sri Lankans have one an only and also great and brilliant mother language. It is called the language of "Sinhala" is a so beautiful and interesting language. Our mother tongue have a great value in comparison with other languages. Only Sri Lankans can write and talk with language of Sinhala.
We can learn Sinhala Language in main two parts. Written Language and spoken language are main part of the language of Sinhala. Sinhala language is made by mixing ''Parli'' and ''Sanskrutha'' languages. There are 60 digits in Sinhala alphabet. Sinhala alphabet have a long history .The first Sinhala alphabet was found in the 13th century. It is called "Sidhath Sagara Hodiya" As well as old Sinhalese used Sinhala language for written books from the past. In that time Sinhala is and expert language. Mahawansaya,Thupa wanshaya,Dhata wanshaya are some examples for ancient Sinhala books. However, The language of Sinhala has many different grammar rules.

From the past, a large number of foreigners too love Sinhala language. They knew the value of over mother language so much. 'Ven.S.Mahinda himi' is the very suitable example for that. As well as a large number of monks did their liability to protect our mother language very well. So we too have a large duty to protect our mother tongue "Sinhala" as our lives.
